HR Associates Attends WPAFB Job Fair

HR Associates set up a booth at the bi-annual Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Job Fair. Held at the Ervin J. Nutter Center, the event is open to “Returning” and “Continuing” military personnel in all branches of Service. Wright State’s Nutter Center is an ideal location for the event being close the the Air Force Base and I-675 in Fairborn.

The event featured more than 70 employers from the Miami Valley from Lockheed-Martin to Payless Shoe Source. HR Associates was one of only 2 Miami County employers to have set up a booth. HR Associates offered jobs from clients in Darke, Auglaize, Miami, and Shelby Counties. HR’s booth seemed to be a people magnet because we had all of our open positions posted on our Job Board.

Our booth saw Military Personnel with diverse skills and qualifications. Of the 65 resumes submitted for consideration to HR Associates, there were 3 Scientists, 3 CNC Machinists, 2 Mechanical Engineers, an Electrical Engineer (Tiny young lady), an Industrial Painter, and a ex-military, civilian CFO (Chief Financial Officer) who just lost his position due to his company closing.
After a surprisingly busy Job Fair, I have come to the realization how diverse and very talented our Military Personnel are. We have the best watching our backs as we go along with our busy lives. These candidates’ resumes exemplify an impressive list of accomplished people for which I have been fortunate to meet, albeit so briefly.

If you know someone in Service, please Thank them because they have earned the respect of a grateful nation.

It was a pleasure to meet you Steve and Heather!

Your booth really stood out at this event. You posted great positions, had well designed displays, and enthusiastically shared your passion for serving your clients well. I have been even more impressed with your exceptional follow-through afterwards.

This blog post is an excellent example of your earnest attitude toward your work and the people you encounter. I certainly echo your gratitude for the talented men and women who serve our country. I wish you, the military service personnel, and the 65 people who submitted their resumes, the very best!

Matt, stay out front and great things will happen. Below is my favorite quote,

    Best of Luck,
