A Piqua company has a 1st shift, Entry Level, Heavy Equipment Mechanic opening @ $23-$28 per hour, based on experience. Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial, heavy equipment. Previous diesel repair experience is required.
Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair heavy, diesel equipment, loaders, and cranes.
- Troubleshoot, test and diagnose various diesel engines/heavy equipment, including drive train, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, & electrical systems.
- Welding and Fabrication.
- Repair and replace defective parts using hand/power tools.
- Test repaired equipment and make adjustments.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment.
- Consult equipment operating manuals and blueprints.
- Maintain equipment repair logs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A Valid Driver’s License
- Your Own Transportation
- Able to Pass a 10 Panel, Employment Drug Screen: Saliva and/or Urinalysis
- A Clean Background with NO Felony Conviction
- Associates Degree in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Engine Repair and/or 2 years related experience.
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using a variety of power tools for equipment repairs
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Experience in automotive repair is a Plus
- Repair experience to include major component replacement and repair ie. engines, transmission, undercarriages, and hydraulic/electrical systems Preferred.
