Assistant Machine OperatorBuild your career with a national company with facilities in 25 states, coast to coast. A Vandalia manufacturer has 2nd shift (3PM-11PM), entry level, Assistant Machine Operator positions available @ $18.50 per hour. In fact, you will get rewarded for your great work ethic with a monthly, $250 Attendance Bonus. Operators will help maintain and run production machines including initial setup and shift cleanup.

Duties:

  • Assist the Machine Operator to maximize production capacity and speed.
  • Set goals to improve setup and downtimes.
  • Troubleshoot and address mechanical issues with machines and report the issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area on a daily basis.
  • Limit production waste, while maintaining quality with minimal downtime.
  • General Labor: these Assistant Machine Operator positions will include cross training on other machines.
  • Complete necessary production reports: ie. Production data, Machine operational status, safety, data, and quality data.
  • Adhere to company’s production schedule to meet client deadlines.
  • Make scheduling recommendations for optimizing costs, quality, and service goals.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

Requirements:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A Valid Driver’s License
  • Your Own Transportation.
  • A Clean Background with NO felony conviction.
  • Able to pass an Employment Drug Screen.
  • Minimum of 6 months previous MFG experience.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs., regularly.
  • Able to read a tape measure and calculate figures.
  • Able to read and follow instruction; quality, Safety, and job packets.
